Sized for motors up to 45 kW (60 HP) on 400 V class drives, the CDBR-4045B braking unit from Yaskawa is rated for 18 A continuous discharge and 60 A peak discharge at 10 percent duty. Working with an external braking resistor, the transistor module absorbs regenerative energy produced during deceleration, supporting shorter stop times and frequent start-stop cycles on demanding industrial equipment.
