Covering motor capacities up to 220 kW (295 HP) in 400 V class installations, the CDBR-4220D dynamic braking unit delivers 80 A rated discharge current and 250 A peak discharge at 10 percent duty. Yaskawa’s D-spec design provides ten switching steps for the braking activation voltage level plus transistor short detection. Paired with braking resistors, it dissipates regenerative energy to shorten deceleration of high-inertia loads.
