Yaskawa CDBR-4030D Dynamic Braking Unit and Transistor Module
The CDBR-4030D dynamic braking unit handles 400 V class applications with motor capacities up to 30 kW (40 HP), providing 15 A rated discharge current and 40 A peak discharge at 10 percent duty. As a D-spec design, Yaskawa added ten-step adjustment of the braking activation voltage plus transistor short detection. It routes regenerative energy to an external resistor, shortening deceleration of high-inertia machinery.
