ifm efector IB0072 Inductive Proximity Sensor
The ifm efector IB0072 is an inductive proximity sensor. The unit provides a 20 mm sensing distance, an unshielded PBT cylindrical housing and connector termination. This model runs on 20 to 250 V and is sealed to IP65. An oscillating field is damped by approaching metal, which is what triggers the output. It is used for position confirmation, end-of-travel detection, and part presence on machinery. Check the target material, since non-ferrous metals reduce the rated sensing distance.
