ifm efector’s AL5228 is an IO-Link master for sensor and actuator networking. The unit provides 5 device ports, a sealed housing for machine-mounted use, M12 port connectors and a polyamide housing. Both IO-Link devices and conventional switching sensors can share the same ports. Control engineers use these to replace analog cards and simplify commissioning. Verify the master supports the fieldbus your controller uses.
