ifm efector UIT500 Ultrasonic Sensor
The ifm efector UIT500 is an ultrasonic proximity and distance sensor. In service it runs on 10 to 30 V and is rated for -20 to 70 °C. A sound cone tolerates dust, steam, and dark surfaces that defeat optical sensors. It is used for level measurement in tanks and hoppers and for distance sensing on machinery.
